For families

The practical part: insurance, what the first weeks look like, paperwork and honest answers.

Eligibility & cost

You'll know if you qualify before we start

We review your case and tell you in writing what your plan covers, what it doesn't, and what you would pay. No commitment.

Verification is free and commits you to nothing.

  • What the first four weeks look like

Week 1: consultation and eligibility check. Week 2: assessment and a conversation about priorities. Week 3: written treatment plan. Week 4: first sessions and parent training.

  • How we choose goals

We prioritize what improves daily life: functional communication, independence, safety and family participation. You decide what goes on the list; we bring the data and the clinical feasibility.

  • How we measure progress

Every goal has a measure and a review date. You get a monthly summary of what improved, what stalled and what we propose changing. No unreadable charts.

  • If something isn't working

You can request a different therapist, a second clinical opinion or pause services at any time. We'll support you even if you decide to move to another agency.

Paperwork you'll usually be asked for

  • Insurance card (front and back)
  • Diagnostic report or physician prescription
  • Previous evaluations (speech, occupational therapy, psychology)
  • Current IEP or school plan, if applicable
  • Parent or legal guardian ID

Questions we get every week

If yours isn't here, write to us and we'll answer anyway.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

To bill insurance you usually do need a diagnosis from a physician or psychologist. If you don't have one yet, we'll walk you through how to get it in your area during the free consultation.

How many therapy hours does my child need?

It depends on the assessment, not on a formula. Focused programs run 10–15 hours a week; comprehensive programs 25–35. The recommendation always comes with written clinical justification.

How long before we start?

The consultation is usually within 48 hours. The assessment depends on insurance authorization, typically 2 to 4 weeks. We keep you posted at every step.

Can I be present during sessions?

Yes — we prefer it. Parent training is part of the program from the first month.

Do you provide services in Spanish?

Yes. The whole team is bilingual and reports are delivered in whichever language the family prefers.

What if my child doesn't want to participate?

That's information, not a problem. We adjust the reinforcer, the activity or the pace. We never force participation.
